"If you want to change Philadelphia, invest in Students Run Philly Style." -D.A. Seth Williams

Anthony Whittington speaks about Students Run Philly Style at The Sporting Club at the Bellevue's 21st anniversary celebration.
Students Run Philly Style sends a big thank you to The Sporting Club at the Bellevue and General Manager Tiffany Bucciarelli!
On Thursday, January 21st, The Sporting Club hosted a big 21st anniversary celebration and donated all the proceeds to Students Run Philly Style! Our students had the opportunity to meet Governor Ed Rendell and District Attorney Seth Williams and to spread the word about Gener8tion Run; and two of our students gave speeches to the entire crowd! To the staff of the Sporting Club: we can’t thank you enough!
Our outcomes speak for themselves.

Honoring
John Partridge

Our dear friend and Students Run Philly Style running leader John Partridge died suddenly this February. We are honoring his legacy by establishing a scholarship in his name, to be given to a college-bound student from Philadelphia interested in entering the architectural field and studying sustainable green design principles.
John was the principal and owner of Partridge Architects, a Philadelphia-based architecture firm he founded in March of 1997. John’s mission and focus were to incorporate sustainable green design principles into the firm’s work. He was a LEED accredited professional, a member of the American Institute of Architects, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the Delaware Valley Green Building Council. John graduated from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture. In addition to his volunteer efforts with Students Run Philly Style, John gave much time to his community through coaching soccer and basketball, working with the Narberth Greens Kid’s Environmental Club, and the Overbrook Presbyterian Church.
We welcome you to join us in
honoring John’s memory.

Who will you bring?

Think about the people who have influenced your life. gener8tionrun is an 8K run, .8K walk and a family festival that celebrates those important people. Honor them as you run on April 17th or, better yet, invite them to join you!
gener8tionrun is the signature fundraising event of Students Run Philly Style, the only program in Philadelphia that helps youth go farther through mentorship and long distance running. |
