Erica Talley

Program Manager

ericaErica, a proud native of Philadelphia, joined the staff of Students Run Philly Style in September of 2009, after having been a mentor/running leader for the previous four years. Teaching elementary school in the parochial system of Philadelphia for 8 years prepared her in many ways to meet the demands of being the Program Coordinator. As the Program Coordinator, Erica serves as the primary point person for Students Run Philly Style teams, from the point of recruitment through the completion of the season. She is also responsible for the coordination and execution of Students Run Philly Style events, and ensures volunteer staffing needs, supplies and transportation for Students Run Philly Style teams.

Erica is passionate about the mission of Students Run Philly Style and often says that she is a mentor trying to run. In the long run it has been the children who have mentored her as she is often amazed by their commitment to such an awesome goal, which impacts them for a lifetime.

Erica, a Temple Owl, holds a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University, where she majored in Religion and minored in History. She is a native of Philadelphia and has come to appreciate its beauty even more due to her running experience which began with Students Run. Her greatest accomplishment is mothering her two daughters, Gabriella and Hannah.
