Amanda Millatt, Program Manager
Amanda joined the staff of Students Run Philly Style and its sister program, I Run This City: Camden, NJ, in August 2018, after being a Students Run Philly Style alumnae and a Go! Farther scholarship winner. She has completed three full and two half marathons with her former team, Science Leadership Academy.
As the Program Manager, Amanda will support the teams taking part in the School Year Model by managing participation in events and races throughout the year. She will serve as a point person for organizing programmatic special events and volunteer opportunities, as well as recruitment, mentoring support, and training.
In addition, She serves as the primary point person for I Run This City teams and matters concerning volunteer recruitment, student and mentor enrollment, event details, and sponsorship for the I Run This City Program.
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology from Colby College. Prior to joining the Students Run team, Amanda worked as an English teaching assistant in Spain. She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for a year at Students Run Philly Style. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania.
Favorite Students Run Event
Marathon Weekend because of all the excitement and joy that comes with achieving such a daunting goal. After the races are over, I love seeing the joy the students feel from completing the race and how proud their mentors are of them. It’s an amazing sight to see!
